Massaponax Marching Panther Pride
Massaponax High School opened in the Fall of 1998 as the fourth high school in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The bands have earned superior and excellent ratings at marching, concert, and jazz festivals during our history.
The band was designated a "Virginia Honor Band" in 2002, 2004, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 2020, and 2023. In addition, the MHS Music Department was designated a "Blue Ribbon School" in 2002, 2018, 2020, 2023, and 2024.
The Panther Pride Bands consist of the Panther Pride Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Winter Color Guard, Indoor Percussion Ensemble, and the Marching Panther Pride.
